Alliance Community Bible Church's team is in Mongolia ... August 15th - 26th!

Trip Updates (check back for the latest information):

Posted Thursday, Aug. 27, 7:15am CST (per email from Scott Miles sent Wednesday Evening): The E2M team has now returned. Upon arrival, they made a detour to a Chicago hospital for some antibiotics and IV fluid, but are now back in Belgium and on the mend. Praise God for their return, and also pray for their quick recovery and spirit-led processing of the experience. ... Scott (for the team)

Wednesday, Aug. 26th (as of 2:45pm CST, per call from Pastor Kevin): The team is on their way home via car from Chicago and Shawn B. is with them :-).

Wednesday, Aug. 26th (as of 1pm CST): Pray-Pray-Pray!  The team landed at the Chicago airport this morning.  However, Shawn B. was taken to an area hospital due to problems with dehydration.   Pastor Kevin (maybe others too) are currently with the E2M team in Chicago, where the group is awaiting Shawn's release so they can head home.

Tuesday, Aug. 25th (per email from Erik W. in Mongolia): They made it on the plane and are on their way!  Everyone is healthy except for a cold or two.

Sunday, Aug. 23rd, 8:45pm CST (per email from the team): Dear church ... It was very encouraging to hear you clapping last night. It made us feel close to you all and not so far away. God is answering your prayers and the team has remained united. After interviews and each debrief we are all hearing the same message and so far agree on one consistent voice. God has also answered your prayers about safe travel. We had absolutely no travel delays or accidents. God has blessed our church. We can't wait to share more with you! Please pray that we all get through immigration in Korea. This is a real concern because 3 of us have temps hovering around 100 degrees and a Phillipian missionary family was was held for 2 days. The mother and daughter had fevers and were put in the hospital. They were well taken care of but held up for for a few days. We would like to avoid  this delay. Thanks again for all of your support ...In Him,  E2M.

P.S. ... Chas is back! Just shared his first sarcastic humor in 24 hours! He inflicted it upon the ornery one! Go Chas!

Sunday, Aug. 23rd, 5:45pm CST (per email from the team): E2M's Prayer Requests:  (1) Continued prayer for health, especially Erik and Christina.  (2) The E2M team has a debrief scheduled for Tuesday. Pray for a valuable time of discussion, encouragement, and reflection. 3. The last team was delayed 2 days in Mongolia due to weather (wind). Pray for a smooth, on-time, and safe departure.

Sunday, Aug. 23rd, 10:30am CST (Skype call during church service): Summary:  Team is experiencing many different aspects of Mongolia and will be coming home with valuable information for the future.  The team, other than Pam, is still dealing with some illness, especially Chaz.  But all team members spoke during the Skype call and answered questions.

Friday, Aug. 21st, 8:14pm CST (email from Shawn B.): Pray, Pray, Pray!  We are in Erdenet with the Yims and sharing breakfast with them. They are a very interesting couple. Can't wait to share all we saw and learned about Mongolia. Mongolia is a beautiful country!  We need alot of prayer today. Nancy has the flu-- fever, headache, and sinus congestion and I'm starting with the same symptoms. Chaz stomach issues yesterday and has a headache this morning. Yes, Randi, he is drinking water. So far Pam is good and has the energy of a freshly charged up battery! Today we will be mostly traveling back to UB. Please pray for our heath and that Pam doesn't get sick and that we do not get anyone else sick. We have four more days before we need to make it through Korea. The dark spirit is also heavy in this area. Please pray for peace for all of us. Please pray that we are not distracted and can still do our interviews. This morning we have an interview with a Mongol Christian and with the Wahlens tonight. That's all for now. When we get back in UB we will e-mail some more pictures.  God Bless you all!

Monday, Aug. 17th, 8:45pm CST (team Skype call to Scott M.): The team is doing great. Besides a bumpy landing and a bat circling their heads in immigration, things have gone very smooth. The guest house (and food) is great, as is the team unity. No disagreements or other problems, and good connection with the missionaries. Their first interview was excellent. But there is a definite spiritual struggle going on.

Here's some prayer requests:

The team travels to Darkhan today (Tuesday their time). They may not be able to connect again until the weekend, but will call or write when they can.

Sunday, Aug. 16th, 11:56am CST per Erik W., Missionary): Team arrived safely in Mongolia, although they had to circle for 45 minutes above UB because of the winds!  All are tired, but in good health.  We will keep you posted!

Sunday, Aug. 16th, 5:29am CST (per Shawn B's text message): We made it to Korea.  Tired, but we are all fine and had no problems getting through the medical check.  Yes they took each individual's temperature before we were allowed in the door!   It's 7:25pm and we will be boarding out flight to Mongolia soon.  All your prayers are being answered!  Thank you.
